Character graphics.

I love smbx but i would like to make it even more fun by playing as more of my favorite videogame characters instead of just the mario crew. however i am not good with sprites and things and therefor canot create the graphics i want. if anyone knows what they are doing and would like to trey to help please let me know. I would like new sprites for mario and link so that they look cooler and i would like to remove luigi, toad and peach and add in sonic, master chief, and megaman of possible. anyone willing to try?

I'm sorry, but this is a stupid request. There is no chance of this getting done. There is just none, not only would it take forever to find someone who can make GOOD graphics to do it, but it would be completely botched up. Who would want to play as Master Chief in a Mario game? Really? Not me.

I don't know how to change the character to another character. You got to do it, pixel, by, pixel. I can teach you how to recolor Graphics:

First download "Paint.net" (MS Paint ruins it):

Then you make a folder of the Graphic's Name, in the SMBX folder (Start>Computer>Computer C>SMBX Folder>Worlds)

Then click the Back button on the window and go to the "Graphics Folder". Choose any graphic from the inventory,

E.G.
Graphics>Mario

Right click the Graphic and click Copy and Paste it in the Folder that you made.

Then open it up with Paint.net, and recolor it by scratch.

nvm i knew asking would be a stupid idea because no one is willing to put in the effort for people like me and i have already tried to learn how to do sprites and i just cant graspt ienough. i sorry that i even asked and for the record I dont care that this is a mario game i wanted master chioef because he is one of my favorite videogame characters and i want to put him in mario because i would like to play smbx as a crossover game not a game thats all about mario thank you very much. I dont want to play smbx if my only choices are between mario, link, and three stupid people who cares about toad luigi or peach. well thanks for nothing

I care about Luigi, Toad and Peach. They each provide their own skills to different levels,

Mario is a good overall character, for those plain levels
Luigi is a good overall character, but jumps high and walks a little slower for those platforming levels
Peach does the same thing, except a lot better at some parts. She's usually recommended for air levels, as she can float over gaps, although slow and a little weak.
Toad is a beasting machine, fast and strong, recommended for levels where you need to speed through and clobber enemies together, like SMB2 levels
and Link takes a little bit to get used to, but he is undoubtedly the greatest at taking down barracades of enemies with his sword, and even stop projectiles with his shield. Other character's would simply break the game, it's already normally easy with all the power ups and varietys, we don't need more to break the game.

And btw, Mega Man is my favorite video game character and I don't complain about him not being in SMBX. Stop whining just because you can't get what you want. And if it's not all about Mario, then why is it called super MARIO bros? Just grow up. Seriously. Don't be all pissy about this.

I apologize for getting a little ticked off I just dont like the fact that my first post on here was replied to by someone ive never met sying that my request was completely stupid. and yes im allowed to be upset if i cant get what i want because i never get what i want everyone maskes games like this and then as soon as someone like me comes along ans says something they would like to change then people like you start off by saying that im stupid. just forget it im done talking to you anyway. oh and btw Jesus77755 thank you for the info. Im sorry for seeming mad earlier i appriciate the help. Im going to try asking my friend that told me that he likes working with sprites to see what he can come up with.

Oh, BTW, be patient with Rommel. My friend Rommel lives in the Philippines. Which means that if in America, it's Day, while in the Philippines, Vice Versa. So it will take time.

I never said you were stupid, I said the request is stupid. And I'm sorry if I came off a little strong but it pisses me off to see little kids whining about stupid things. Most fan games only have Mario and Luigi, if even Luigi, so it brings my piss to a boil when someone complains about something that doesn't need complaining about. Do we really need 6 or 7 characters for a fan game? 2 is enough, 5 is plenty. Just be thankful you even know what SMBX is.

well to suprise both of you im 19 but the reason i was complaining is because when i found this game i thought that it was much more than all the other fan games out there but it seems that its pretty much made for the most hardcore fans that want only mario while i am mostly looking for games that like to have multiple types of games out there but once again im sorry if i also came off a bit strong and thanks for the info about your friend and dont worry im willing to wait but first im going to check with my friend to see if he can do it. and do any of you guys know anyone who has learned about the smbx engine in visual basic so that mayube instead of changing graphics maybe i can just add and remove characters using code? im one of those computer nerds so i should beable to get it eventually.

I know a game that has quite a few video game characters, it's called Mushroom Kingdom Fusion. It has a lot of different characters, and there's another one called Super Mario Crossover. Try them out.

I just dont like flash in general no particular reason i just dont. anyway i think i finally completed big sonic as a replacement for luigi. i found a sonic replacement for mario earlier and just rezsized everything and edited a few sprites. tell me what you think:

i know. thats what i said someone made it for mario and i resized it and changed the size to fit luigi and i edited a couple of the sprites he made becuas he was using the ball form for like everything.

It's pretty good, but Sonic's too thin.

not really i think hes just fine hes based off of the game gear version in which he actually is pretty thin and besides he is actually really thin i all the new games too and he is thinner than mario and luigi in comparison anyway so i think hes actually pretty good.
